Pancakes and I have a bit of a history. The first time I made them, they were dense and flat. I couldn’t figure out why they didn’t turn out fluffy like the ones my mom makes. Turns out, I had used cold milk straight from the fridge, and that was the problem. My mom explained that letting the milk come to room temperature makes all the difference. Determined to redeem myself, I tried again. This time, I was patient, and the batter was perfect. When the pancakes came out golden and fluffy, I felt like I’d unlocked a secret. I didn’t stop there, I got creative with toppings like bananas, chocolate chips, and even a drizzle of honey. Pancakes have since become my favorite weekend treat, a little reminder that a few adjustments can transform an ordinary dish into something special.
